Default Gas Leak/Fumes

Hey guys, new member, my girlfriend was just gifted an '05 Cavalier LS and it's got some serious problems, most notably an immense gasoline fume smell coming into the cabin and surrounding the car when it's on. This seems to be a somewhat common problem with these engines from what I gather through a few google searches, so I was wondering if anyone was more intimate knowledgeable on this repair. There appears to be some gas residue near the fuel pressure regulator, and I've found a re-manufactured one for relatively inexpensive, aside from that part, are there any other components that I might expect to be bad as well and should pick up before I go in to replace the regulator? Any specific signs or symptoms I should look for?

if the vacuum line from the regulator to manifold has fuel in it...replace the regulator. the vacuum line may need to be replaced. no other parts should be bad. The ecotec 2.2 are one of the best 4 cylinder engines out there...just don't run it low on oil.
