Default how do you reset a clutch

I have a 98' Chevrolet Cavalier andI want to know if there is a way to reset my clutch. When you shift, the clutch isalmost all the way out before it catches its gear. How do I reset it if possible?

Default RE: how do you reset a clutch

You probably have alot of air in your clutch line. There's a way to fix that problem. First You need to open up the cap where you store your clutch fluid. Second you need to find whereyour clutch lineis here's a picture of what it should look like. Once you found it you need to get some plyers and loosen up that little bolt to release air thats in your line. Once you have it open Go inside your car and Push down on your clutch then manually lift on it and push down again to make sure all that air is gone from the line and hold it down for the very last time. Have someone tighten up that bolt that you loosento release the air. Once thats tighten, your ganna have to Manually lift up on the clutch then put the cap back on your clutch fluid.and you should be good to go.

Hope that helped.
