Where is the radiator cap on 02 Cav?
Hello, I need to burp the air out of my friend's Cav due to the heater blowing cold when idling, but I cannot find the cap, is it under the frame just above the radiator housing?
The heater works fine when she is driving, just when she gets to a stop sign, it blows cold air. Can the system be burped through the reservoir? I suppose I could try replacint the thermostat, it is easy to get to, but wanted to try this and see if it helped.
Thanks in advance for assistance.

Okay, I googled and found that there isn't a cap other than the overflow. Tried googling to ask if it can be burped thru the overflow and could not find a definitive answer. Can any of the 51 people who have read this thread reply to this?

There is a bleeder on the driver side on a metal tube. Not very tight, looks like a small bolt doing nothing in the tube with a hole in its head. Between the battery and head about level with the bottom of the battery. Now how i cant remember, hot, cold, running, or off. Some one else may know how, but its a start.

I was able to get it bled, there is a warning label not to open the bleeder with the engine running. The bleeder is on the line almost right under the rotor, but I was able to get a 7mm deepwell on it. Loosened it and it sounded like I had opened a bottle of soda that was shook up! I then went to the surge tank and added 50/50 mix antifreeze and started it up. I let it run a while and at first the blower was only putting out cold air, but it warmed up and was blowing hot even at idle. So thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
