Default Noises comming from the front and rear suspension

Hi,

My daughters 2007 Cobalt is making funny noises from the front and rear suspension) when traveling over speed bumps or traveling on rough roads.
Checked the struts and the rear shocks and eveything looks O.K.
Sounds like something is loose in the suspension.
Thank you.

radetic,

I am sorry to hear that your daughter is experiencing this issue. Has she been to the dealership for a diagnosis? If so, what did the dealership say?

Thank you,
Elizabeth, Chevrolet Customer Service

Have you tried just bouncing the car while it's sitting still and seeing if you can pinpoint where the noise is coming from? It could be anything from strut mounts to worn out suspension bushings. I don't know if your car has sway bars, but these seem to be problem points for a lot of newer cars. For some reason the bushings seem to wear out prematurely. That or the end links. Although end links usually clunk and don't squeak. Are the noises more of a squeaky type or clunking sound?

Thank you Elizabeth and Chuzz for your reply.
I will be taking the car to the dealership for the steering recall on thursday.
Chuzz, I had the car in the air ( tires were suspended in the air ) and i tried to get the sound ( clunk ) without any success. As well I was pushing the car down, when it was on the ground and there was not the clunking that I hear when driving the car.
Again, thank you for your help.
