worried Owner!
Early this morning around 1am after work I went to my 2011 Cruze LT, I unlocked the car... lights dimmed... tried to start it the car clicked 3 times. Now the key is stuck in the ignition. My car has only 72,000 miles all highway. I drove it all day prior to this to downtown Madison, Wisconsin. No problems. Just got an oil change everything checked out fine! We are a one car family.. I live 9 miles from work in the country. I'm freaking out as to what is wrong with the car? How am I going to get to work? How long am I out of a car? Now if its my worst fear " main computer" failure that should be under warranty due to that is not " normal wear and tear" secondly I hope to god I can get a loaner vehicle!! If I hear otherwise I might have a heart attack. I'm am super freaking.mad. I paid almost $30,000 for the car? Please advice any one?

how do you know the the battery good. if the starter solenoid is clicking, the car is commanding a start request. start with testing the battery. If the battery is internally shorted, jump starting will not help.

Well as I said " battery is fine" dealer said the car started right up and drove for them. No codes found battery is strong. They said it most likely is what they called " Phantom Issue" not to pleased with my chevrolet Cruze! Can't wait until its paid off! One year and counting. I'm very dissapointed in the amount of recalls, cooling system issues and repairs, oil leakage coming from " no where", anti theft system problems etc.

Welcome to the forum...
Its possible the battery is good but the connections can be poor/marginal and if it's a cool, damp or wet morning the connection problem can be exacerbated...
If the dealer has not cleaned and checked all the battery/ground/alternator/starter connections, this is a good place to start...
for such a phantom issue...

so you boosted the car and drove to the dealer for diagnosis?
What I've seen happen is the customer boosts it to start, drives it in and now the battery is charged somewhat and the problem is gone. So without know the state of charge, voltage drop tests of the starting circuit or results of a parasitic draw test...its guess work.
