U0107 No Start
Took it to the shop and they still couldn't figure it out yet, we replaced the throttle body (salvage), PCM (salvage). Still no-start issue. They checked sparks and fuel. Here's the background story:

It began 2 weeks ago, it wouldn't start, but after cranking 4 or 5 times, it started. I kept pressing the pedal while doing it.
It worked for a few days, then I drove to work at 9AM, and then by 5PM when I get out of work, it wouldn't start at all. It has code U0107. And had to be towed. Reduced Engine light comes on.
I cleaned the throttle body, and replaced the purge valve selenoid and PCM, worked for a day, then stopped working. So I unhooked the negative of the battery for about 20 minutes, and it worked, worked for a week. And then it stopped working again at Walmart parking lot. I let it sit there for about 3 hours, and got my buddy to come and give it a jump. Everytime I try to start on my own, it would not start, but with a jump, it will. Tried changing to a new Walmart battery that has CCA less than my car, it started the car for 2 times, but after that it didn't work anymore.

From what I read of this bulletin you need software updating for the PCM, and if you used a salvaged PCM it to may have the old software...
Is the shop your using a certified dealership or no? a dealership should have access to this info and know how to check for the software update....
Or maybe you just need a ground strap...

Can you also elaborate more on the ground strap?
The place I bought the used PCM provided this info for U0107:
U0107 - Throttle Actuator Control Serial Data Circuit Malfunction - With Automatic Transmission
1. Check for battery voltage at the TAC pin 7 Pink wire.
2. Check for a good ground at pin 15 of the TAC module.
3. Check the serial data wires between the TAC module pin 12 Orange/Black wire and pin 13 Dark Blue/White and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) pin 14 and 15 for opens and/or shorts to ground.

Also, what's crazy is... The U0107 code was set before I swapped to the "new" PCM. So the question I have is, why does that code pop up now if it needed software update? (shouldn't it popped up 3 years ago when I bought the vehicle?)

You would be correct , it does not apply to your vehicle...
I found your original post in the Tahoe Suburban section for TSB's and you had a redirecting thread and I did not see that it was the Equinox section....
The only thing I find for the 2005 Eq is this one...
Be sure you are clearing all the old DTC's and that your battery is fully charged...

the throttle actuator control module is the "computer part" screwed into the throttle body.
This can be hard to diagnose even for professionals. If you have no luck take it to a dealer tech with gm global CAN training. Simple things you can take anywhere but sometimes you need dealer support to fix the tough stuff.
