So my 08 equinox 3.6L AWD has loss of power service tc and stable trac lights on cruise dont work and the light thats red when you shift that shows what gear your in the PRNDM wont light up in red and the service engine code was U0101 which is the PCM did npt receive a message from the transmission control module and something about the catalytic converter.. None of these forums say anything about the 3.6L ... Not sure what it is... Ive cleaned the throttle body and pcv valves which did by the way have a bunch of oil in the air intake and just put on a new gas pedal with the sensor and ran great for a day and the light was back on this morning and have to floor the gas pedal to get it to go.. So in the drive it sits..can someone plz tell me what this could possibly be in hating to throw money at this without the results that I need..HELP!!!!!! Ohh and the problem is here one day and gone the next and on again an hour later.. Never know when its going to act up

I disagree with this. The 2005 models are by far the worst. Many electrical components were only used on 2005 models. The 2006 models are a little better because of this, but 2007 was when Chevy finally got it right. The 2007-2009 FWD models with the 3.4L engine are by far the most reliable Equinoxes built.
