Default 08 Equinox p0455 code comes on and off and loud squeling when i let off brakes

I have a 2008 Equinox with 106000 miles. It has been a nightmare. Just replaced plugs and wires and front brakes and rotors and thermostat cuz of overheating at idle. Fixed overheating by clearing a clogged line. CE light with p0455 code keeps coming on. Replaced gas cap shut off but keeps coming back on. Will continuosly shut off one day and come back on next. Also have a horrible squeling noise i cannot figure out. Not when i hit my brakes but when i let off and drive a little while then goes away. Notice it gets worse the longer i drive. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Your brake squeal is probably due to your calipers sticking. What you're hearing is the wine glass effect caused by your brake pads gliding on the rotors. Did you lube the caliper guide pins when you replaced the brake pads? If not, that's a good place to start. Another possibility could be bad brake hoses acting like a check valve, and not letting your brake calipers release.

As for your P0455 code, make sure the lip on the fuel filler neck is smooth so the gas cap can seal properly. It also might be a good idea to look under the car and inspect the lines around your vapor canistor. You may even have a bad vapor canistor vent valve/solenoid.
