Default 09 Equinox PCV valve location????

Does anyone know where the PCV valve is on an 09 Equinox??!! Thanks!!!!

Its under that motor-cover that all the motor come with these days. Not hard to see at all

It's integrated into the left (front) valve cover and not serviceable. The entire valve cover (p/n 12590410) must be replaced.

You are correct. My mistake. I would wonder if the valve cover could be cleaned with something like a carburetor/motor block/ or heads dip substance that we used to use in auto shop?

It can be cleaned but it still requires removing the valve cover. Some valve covers used screws instead of rivets to secure the baffle inside the cover, so that could also be removed for cleaning.

The orifice itself usually requires several alternating blasts of carb cleaner and compressed air to open it up. I’ve found that a good soaking with penetrating oil really helps soften the build up (also true for cleaning gasket surfaces).

If you’re cleaning it yourself (and aren’t in a hurry) there’s no reason not to do it. But in terms of shop labor cost in making sure the orifice and baffles are thoroughly clean, it’s cheaper for the customer to just pay for installing a new valve cover.
