I’m trying to replace the evap canister on a 2005 Chevy equinox 3.4L. I can’t disconnect the lines. Some say push in the tabs on the connector and pull apart, the parts store told me to use ac/fuel line disconnect tool. Neither have worked. Is there a special tool for the evap lines? I have found nothing on the internet as far as tools or a video showing how to disconnect the lines on the same evap canister I’m replacing. I’m about to cut it out and ductape the lines together. Lol.

post a pic of the connectors
undervehicle connectors can be hard to deal with. Your best bet is to blow all the dirt from the connector with compressed air. spray gm/ac delco penetrating fluid on the connector. this helps to slide the connectors apart.
