Default 2006 Equinox LT AC keeps freezing up

In my Equinox, my AC will freeze up so to speak. I will have it running and its blowing ice cold air, then the air slows down almost to a stop. I turn off the AC switch and then in a few minutes the fans is back blowing full force. I switch the AC back on...then repeat after about of 20 min of driving. Can someone point me in the direction to get this fixed? Thanks.

Nick

"I turn off the AC switch and then in a few minutes the fans is back blowing full force" Sounds like condensation freezing on your condenser(?) coil I have seen "snow" coming out the air outlets on a few cars in times of high humidity even here in Az. My AC cycles on and off automatically to let the fan defrost the coils like you are doing manually. You might also check the drain hole/tube when you do a defrost. Should get a puddle under your car.
