Default 2006 Trouble Starting

Having trouble with it starting every so often. Vehicle cranks but has trouble firing. If I put my foot on the gas pedal in fires right up. Doesn't matter if it is cold or hot or if the gas tank is full or below a qtr. I just recently changed the plugs and wires to see if this would help, but it still does it. Any suggestions?

Vehicle has 85500 miles on it.
Cranks for about 2 seconds and then sputters to start
New plugs and wires
Also had an EVAP P0442 code on it recently

Unfortunately, I don't have access to technical information. However if you were to decide upon working with a dealership on this or any other issue, we would like to know as we're available to assist as needed!

I'm sure you'll get some great feedback from the other forum users, and wish you the best,
Sarah (in for Louis)

Thanks - I was working with Jeff Dambrosio, in Oxford PA, previously for the EVAP issue which has arisen again. They replaced the insulator gromet at the fuel filler neck under a TSB. But haven't been much help looking at it again to see if that has occurred again or not.
