2010 chevy exuinox
Hello all,
I know this is an old post but I am reaching out!
I have a 2010 equinox with 110 000 kilometers on it ( about 65k miles on it) and it constantly stalls while driving or idling. It is a used car and there aren't any recalls outstanding. When I attempt to restart it (sometimes 20 times) it eventually runs again for anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours.
Replaced:
-Fuel pump (common and recently recalled)
-timing chain and guides (Was sure that would do it but was wrong)
-plugs and easy stuff
-ignition switch (had to try it)
-a lot of oil as is the benchmark
What is good:
-Engine Compression (no head gasket or ring issues that I can tell)
-Transmission is fine but computer wont take the most recent update (??? don't know why and neither does GM)
It feels like an electrical issue to me, where does this all come together to cause this nightmare? We still owe money on this car and when it works its a joy to drive for a FWD SUV. Do I just buy a cheap civic while I tear this thing apart?
Thanks for any input
