New to the forum. I have a 2010 Equinox LTZ. Liftgate opens then shortly after its open, slowly lowers. Has been getting worse. About a year ago, the lift gate would open and get about halfway up then reverse and close. Took it into dealer, it was still under warranty then. They replaced the lift struts. It worked fine until a month or two after it went out of warranty, now this. Anybody had this problem? Prob the lift struts (AGAIN)... if it is I'm REALLY disappointed they went out this quick.

I’m sorry you are experiencing this issue with your Equinox vehicle. This issue may be related to the liftgate mounting brackets. This is just a suggestion, it is not meant as a diagnosis. I encourage you to consult with a certified technician for an official diagnosis.
