2012 Rusted Equanox, bought rust proofing pckg
I bought my vehicle in May 2012 and after the 1st winter I found rust on the bottom, inside of 3 of the doors. I brought it in and it was supposedly corrected. It was due to go back in this next July, per the rust proofing contract, and again now 3 of the 4 doors that paint is bubbling and falling off. The 4th door the same but some serious rust under it. I also found rust on my back lift door, right by the Chevy emblom. I brought it back AGAIN and now they want to spray rhino liner inside on the bottom of all 4 doors. The problem is, I am hearing that the reason why the paint is bubbling is because the doors are rusting on the INSIDE!!! The rust proofing pckg was a lot of money and a hoax! I live in Chevy only household and family and we are all thinking of changing our preferences. I think that Chevy should be replacing our doors with brand new ones with the drain holes lowered, if that is determined to be the problem. I have read it here and the dealership told me that was the problem. I am majorly P.O. ed!! Friends are telling me to dump the vehicle and buy Ford. If they spray it with rhino liner, they have to also fix the paint underneath if AND the last thing left of the door will be the liner due the doors will continue rusting on the inside. I, and everyone I know, will be SO done with Chevy unless this isn't resolved. The fact this is NOT an unheard situation is falsified right here and the dealership even told me this same problem is infamous on Impalas. I used to stand up for Chevy, maybe not anymore. I will advertise this problem everywhere unless this is corrected. Think I am mad now?

are you new to living in the rust belt?
those products only slow down the inevitable. doesn't matter what vehicle brand you buy...they are all the same.
the best shops to get rust protection and sound deadner are professional rust proofing shops (krown etc). dealership rust proofing does not compare. never buy it from there. the black sound deadner stops paint from rashing off but is not rust protection.
the dealership is some minimum wage teenager with a spray gun. Professional rust shops drill holes and apply the treatment on the back side of fenders, rocker panels and door seams using wands that access tight spots. If rust proofing is your only business; you are gonna do it better than a shop that does it on the side.

I am sorry, I thought I posted on the Chevy website. You don't sound like you are from there at all. You would think you would support your dealerships? And no acknowledgement of the Chevrolet rust problem that is going on with a Chevrolet product. Unless, you are someone like me commenting on my post maybe!

your lost. this is a public repair forum not a chevy customer service website. Read some posts.
I just stating the facts which you may not want to accept. You will never get this fixed to the level you are expecting...its unrealistic. By all means, keep trying but sooner or later they will fluff you off.
Chevy does not have a rust problem. The rust proofing from the factory is the best its ever been. Even the fuel and brake lines are plastic coated. You live in a rust belt. At least they didn't try to sell you a $250 rust module.
if your going to dump this car forget about rust proofing it. If its a life-er, get it rust proofed each year at a krown or rust check.
