Like them. 4 cylinder is best bet. Great gas mileage and some even have eco button to help improve fuel economy. They are really hardly ever in except for routine maintenance and service updates like computer program updates. Nothing major. Just key thing for these vehicles is to use top tier gasolines like chevron and perform regular oil changes at around or by 5k miles. Mostly due to that these engines are direct injected. But they are a great buy

Love my 2013 Equinox. Quiet ride, comfortable, great features. Hauls what I need it to (people and stuff) and never any issues so far. I have the 6 cyl LTZ model and love the power. Has the eco feature that helps with gas mileage, I get a very consistent 20 mpg. with city driving and have gotten up to 30 mpg on a long freeway trip. I am very conscientious and change oil and do regular services on schedule. I expect to have this CUV a long time.
