Hello,

I’ve had my new Chevy since end of November and love it. But, when I press on the gas, every once in a while, I hear and feel a spring/pop sound. One time it sounded like I ran over a piece of sheet metal. It’s done it three times and at very random times. I called the dealership and they have no idea. They wanted me to bring it in for a test drive but since it’s so infrequent, I doubt they’d experience it.

Any ideas? Thanks!

 

since these things are drive by wire, i would think it might be the spring in the throttle

 

I too purchased my 2020 chevy equinox last November. I'm also experiencing intermittent spring popping vibrations under my gas pedal foot. I'm scared the cause is going to affect the pedal sticking and cause a wreck. It's not a consistent problem but seems to be happening more often nowadays. This has been happening x 1 year now.

 

Hi there, ever find out what the cause of this was? Mine is doing the same exact thing. Came across this forum by trying to get info. It's right thru the gas pedal the pop or clanging noise. Car drives okay, but I obviously don't want this to go on!

Did anyone ever get any answers on this issue? I'm still having the same issue but it's happening much more frequently, multiple times a day.
