Default Bleeder screw replacement

Help! I was bleeding my coolant system. I loosened the bleeder screw up too much and the pressure sent it flying. I’ve tried every terminology I can think of to find a replacement. As you will see in the picture I have one that is kind of working as a band aid but I need the correct replacement part.

You couldn't find the original? If not online, a junkyard should have one, if you look. Car manufacturers tend to use the same parts on different vehicles, as it keeps the inventory down, and more efficient, saving them money.

Unfortunately, this is far less true today than it was 20 years ago. In this case the part is only used on the 2005-2009 Equinox/Torrent 3.4L engines. The OE part is discontinued, but Dorman offers an exact replacement for it.

I would think they are some wierd metric pipe thread which would be hard to even find a temporary plug. My past experience with them is they are made of brass and when closing them too much force will snap them off!

My mistake then, and I always own up to my mistakes.
