I have an 06 equinox and I've changed everything that has to do with the emissions system that I can think of. I finally got Rid of the engine Lights but didn't give time for the Monitors to reset go if failed for 2 of them on Mechanic Said just drive So I did over 700 Miles with no engine light Popping up first time IN along time . But anyway went back same thing stILL 2 monitors active . ... Any Ideas or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

 

which monitors?

the engine light will come on if the monitor runs and fails. you must meet the conditions for the monitor to run.
for example, some evap monitors are temp dependent...they won't run if the ambient temp is to cold...so for people trying to getting them to run and complete in the winter time is impossible.

 

I believe the o2 monitor and o2 warming monitor... only had 2 but now showing 5 active... but that's only cuz I drove with my camister valve of to pick up new one..i even tried gms reset procedure
