Driver Door Lock (Only) Does Not Work
I have a 2006 Equinox. My problem started with my driver side power window, which stopped working. A mechanic found broken wires on the driver's side wiring harness and repaired them. Everything works now except the main lock on the drivers side (which worked before he made the repair). I CAN unlock my doors with the key fob, but CANNOT lock them manually or with the fob. We took the harness out again to ensure that all wires were connected. The actuator appears to be fine since auto unlock works with no problem.
Any ideas? could it be the lock switch itself that is broken?

It has probably lost its path to ground and the manual part has been damaged, take it apart and repair the mechanism? If the manual electrical switch doesn't work try the connections at it. Open it up to see.
