Default equinox 2006 - loss of power when approaching hill

I have a 2006 equinox. When I am driving on rural roads and approaching a hill I push the accelerator and the vehicle looks like is running out of power, like running out of fuel but I have sufficient fuel on the tank. I relieve the accelerator a little bit and the vehicle drive uphill with out problems. I think might be the fuel pump or clogged injectors. Any one with similar experience?

i am having the same problem with my truck as well

today we had a very light rain.
I did not even drive in the rain.
When i jumped in the truck and started it, the engine trouble light, was on, and the traction light was on as well as another engine service light.

WHen I step on the gas the truck hardly moves....I have to push the gas peddle all the way to the floor to get it to move ..once it increases in speed to about 60 km I get more power from the engine .....but about 90% loss of engine performance.

Any ideas?

Well good news.......I ended up taking the truck to a gas station and putting in $20 worth of gas and after I pulled out from the gas station the problem stopped.

The fuel gauge had been pretty low...so that might have had something to do with it....I don't know

I had let the truck idle for about half an hour, before I took it out, so not sure if that dried anything out.

So far the problem appears to be fixed by itself.

But i hope others will visit this thread and tell what solutions they found as well.
