Default Equinox 2013 Ujoints replacement

Hello Everyone this is my first post. Been doing a lot of maintenance on the wife’s car lately. Just doesn’t seem to come to an end. 150,000 miles. I went to buy Ujoints at the dealer and they said they can’t be replaced have to buy the hole driveshaft. There is no clips holding the caps they seem to be staked in place. Any ideas ? Just bought a new transfer case. Hate to ask what a new drive shaft assy sells for.
thanks
steve

It’s unfortunate but true - the u-joints are staked in place and not serviceable.

I took a similar driveshaft to our local driveshaft shop and they don’t touch them either as there’s no good way to remove the joints without damaging the yokes.

One option if you don’t want to pay GM prices is Dorman 946-036.

Thanks for the info on the Dorman shaft. I guess I don’t have a choice.
