Equinox Hatch won't open?

Equinox Hatch won't open?
Why won't our hatch open(or unlock with key fob), 2010 Chevy Equinox LT - this is sudden, as it was working perfectly prior to this a.m.?
Key fob is only way to lock/unlock the back hatch, and we don't "hear" it click lock/unlock like the rest of the doors do when pressing. Also the lock/unlock button inside the car doesn't effect the back hatch either.
Any suggestions?
