Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me out with a few error codes that I am having. Here are the error codes and what they are:
P0172: Fuel Trim System Rich
In addition to these items, the engine has a rough shutdown. It tries to keep running after the Equinox has been turned off. I'm pretty certain that that has to do with one of the listed codes. That said, I do not personally believe that all of the issues are "real". I believe that there may be a single culprit and it is giving "false positives" on the other two. I have no proof that that is the case, but just hopeful.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me an assist in narrowing down this issue and whether or not it is something that I will be able to fix without expensive specialized tools.
Thanks!

Moderators,
Please delete my account. The fact that it took 5 months for someone to respond to my post is a joke. I no longer have a need for this account.
Thank you.
