Thumbs up HID Install and the Equinox

So been driving a lot on dark roads and winding roads and decided to pickup some HID for my daily commute.

I tend to drive 160km round trip and usually 600-800 on weekends to visit the lady.

I went with some 8000k 35watt HID, with a halogen high with xenon low.

Here is some pics of the truck, the inside glow and the HID in the overcast Canadian day.

Also would like to say, hello peeps! I have more pics for the how to HID Equinox Guide.

Ive painted the housing black inside. Reduces shine. Took it to local OPP shop and asked them to look at it. They said that it is fine, color is fine, intensity is fine. Ive also aimed the headlights a little lower.

Here are some night pictures.

Can you post some close shots of the blacked out headlights? I would love to see how that looks.

Default Hid

I got my HID's from www.ddmtuning.com Very reasonable prices and a lifetime warranty. I paid close to 80 dollars for a complete plug and play 55watt 6500k kit

I must correct myself the prices are even cheaper now. It looks like the kit I paid 70.00+ shipping is now 35.00

Default Heres the link

http://www.ddmtuning.com/products/101/

However I must tell you the HIDs are not in the Equinox which is my Wifes car, they are in my 99 Crown Victoria. But the Kit is plug and play so its fairly simple to install. The only hard part will be removing the headlights from the equinox. I plan on getting hers around Christmas time.
