Default LAF to LEA CONVERSION with LEA EMC?

My 2011 LAF engine with 207,000 miles is running weak; I'm sure it's the timing chain since it throws cam position errors periodically. Anyway, I've committed to keeping the car since it's still in good shape and I have a new driver who needs a daily beater. I found a 2017 LEA engine with 12k on it, and I think I'm going to do the swap, but I see that the ECM in the 2011 sees the intake camshaft differently and throws a code if you don't swap the LEA cam for the old LAF camshaft. I also read somewhere that the LAF ECM sees the fuel pressure as too high on the new LEA engine. So the question is, can I just get an Equinox 2017 ECM for the LEA and plug it into my 2011? The plugs on the ECMs look exactly the same, but I need to know if the pin-out is the same as well?
Thanks,
Lou
