I have a 2013 Equinox FWD 4 Cyl. With 74K miles, had warning lights come on and message center yelling at me about Low Brake Fluid Level. Took it to the dealer..... dealer advised that the master cylinder is leaking. Is it common to have to replace the masrer cylinder at 74K miles????? This is the first equinox i have owned.

 

no, usually they last a lifetime. In 30 years of driving, i have installed one on all of the vehicles i have owned. Maybe 2 in 13 years as a mechanic.

 

Not to sound like a retard, but why is the mastercylider not covered under tge factory warranty?
