Default Plasti-Dipping rims

I have a 2007 Granite Gray Equinox and have been thinking about Plasti-Dipping my rims. Anyone try this before? I have watched several YouTube videos and this is something I can do very easily. Below is a picture of the vehicle as it sits now.

I blacked out the stock wheels on my (black) S10 Blazer with PlastiDip and they looked pretty good. For best results wipe the wheel down with acetone or isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry before painting. Apply several thin coats rather than a couple heavy coats.

How long was your dry time?

I waited about 10 minutes between coats and applied a total of 5 coats. Final dry time was a couple of hours before I drove it.

Here is the final outcome. I'm impressed with the look.

Those wheels came out lookin' pretty good. The best part about PlastiDip is if you grow tired of the look you can peel it off and you're right back where you started...no harm no foul.
