How positive are you that you installed everything back under/over the dash when you replaced the heater core? Occam's Razor comes into effect in a situation like you are burdened with. Congratulations on doing your own heater core replacement, BTW.

is there a big 175 amp maxi fuse off the battery to the underhood bused electrical center...check to see if its blown
