is replacing a heater core a DIY job
Hello to the Chevrolet Equinox brain trust, My question is simple. I have an 08 Equinox, 95000 miles that is spewing antifreeze mist onto the windows. Is changing the heater core a job for a 60 year old fella with a fair mechanical aptitude ? I appreciate any experiences or stories you can lend before I try this out. Thank you!

The job requires large indoor space to work, you'll need to remove the instrument panel (2 helper) recover / recharge AC refrigerant and a good memory or a digital camera. as a DIYer expect 2 full days to complete. Alldata time 6.9 + 1.4 to evacuate and recharge AC

I done about 15 of them. everything forward of the front seats will have to come out.
if you live in the rust belt....make sure the shfter column does not rest on the floor liner carpet on install. if it does, water and salt will wick into the base of the column and rust it right through.
