Rear AC hose and lines
Hi
chevrolet van rear ac Suction & Liquid Line Undercarriage Hose Assembly =leftIs there anyone who knows how this is pulled under the car? |
The car
Chevrolet conversion van 1997 starcraft whit orginal rear ac |
You want to get rid of it?
|
Hi and thanks
No, I want to replace it. And i wonder if the part on the picture is what sits on the car. There is nothing on GM parts like this. But the summit says it is for the undercarriage of the car I have a leak on the pipes under the car and intended to order this part my wonder is if all Chevy with orginal rear ac has this pipes or it differs between the different converson companies Kent |
Do you have to replace the whole thing? Couldn't you just repair the leak, or replace a short section?
|
It depends on what sections you are replacing, for some you have to lift the body or you'll mangle them..
|
Well if you have to lift it for a small section, the you have to lift the body to replace the entire thing right? If he's lucky and it's in an accessible spot, the repair might be easier than complete replacement.
|
Hi
I don't think so, the leak is behind the right front wheelhouse probably in a hose or splice the car is in winter storage so I find it hard to access it thought maybe someone had a picture undercarriage and maybe have replaced the part. kent |
Hi
yes i believe it easier so i buy this part and hope for the best. thank you all. Kent |

Successful replacement?
Hi,
I searched for the same question, I wonder if you have replaced your tubes yet? i have an Express 1500 Exlorer 2001 and also need to replace the AC tubes to rear unit... but then I look under my car it seems to be rubber tubes the most way under the car and the tubes are separated behind the front left wheel, low pressure goes over to the right side while the high pressure continues forward and upward... doesn't seem like the one in your pic, that's the same one that should fit mine as well... Regards Marcus |

=leftNo in April so I'll do it. takes photos if it helps you Kent I found out by coincidence via a YouTube video that my Chevy doesn't have original rear AC-unit since many conversions use an aftermarket system, in my case of the brand ProAir... found a file named "van conversion manual" see attached file, this describes my system in section 3 accurate as far as I can see... maybe it will be helpful for you? best regards Marcus |
=leftthanks my ac is also Pro air one so this helped a lot thanks Kent |
You're welcome... :)

Try these instead of the OEM
Use these instead of the OEM, way easier. Plus if you have an older van, they can make custom lines.
