Default 1990 G20 bulkhead depinning

The headline says it all, ran in to some trouble with the fusible links and instead of just cutting them out wanted to replace the whole wire with a new one. However after fighting with the bulkhead for almost 1 hour without getting the connectors out I came to the conclusion that my depinning tool is the wrong kind for this specific type of connector(that bloody tar also didn't help...). The internet didn't give me any ideas because the connector isn't the type 56.. Anyone out there who could point me to the right direction?

I'm a perfectionist when it comes to wiring because of how many hack jobs I've seen... But even I would just splice in a fusible link (crimp and heat shrink not solder).
