As most folks know, any type repair, straigtening ,etc on steering or suspension parts is generally a NO-NO . That is one reason most fabrication /welding shops will not take on the job because of the liability issue. If the entire part were manufactured to original material specs, that would not become an issue. As warned at GM tng ctr, any alteration from original is an invitation for a starving lawyer to wind up owning your farm ,if you get the picture.
