1993 Chevy G20 van - Limp mode, no codes
Hi,
My van is in limp mode. If I disconnect the battery and wait a minute or so, the next time I start it up it will shift correctly. The next time I come to a full stop, the van is in limp mode, and will not downshift to first gear. I have 2nd and what feels like 3rd and 4th, and no 5th.
I have a good transmission fuse, the tranny doesn't leak. It's the original tranny.
When I short the OBD connector pins, I sometimes get a 44 and a 66, but never a tranny code. Can anyone help? The local transmission specialist said "oh, it must be the ECU."
The problem started after I went down a rocky road for about a mile, getting pretty well bounced around.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.
