1996 G10 - Loud Squeaking / Squealing After Van has Been Driven
I have a 96 G10. Recently, it has started making a quite a loud squeaking/squealing noise, most evident when turn the wheel sharply or reversing (while parking or pulling out of a parking space), but seems occasionally present when simply driving at a low speed.
I thought perhaps it just needed lubed or maybe had a worn bushing. I had someone take the van to a shop for me yesterday. They said the wheel calipers were sticking a bit, but heard no noise. Additionally, the van did not make the squealing when I pulled out of work, nor on the drive home, but, only as I was parking in front of my residence. The problem is, for whatever reason, the noise only seems present after the vehicle has been driven for a bit, probably about 15 minutes. I am sure suspension components do "heat up," along with the vehicles other components, after the engine has been running a while, but I am not sure why a component would only squeal/squeak when warm.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
