2006 Express New Radio Wiring Issue...
We have plain Jane Express Cargo Van and we decided to replace the stock am/fm only radio with an aftermarket Pioneer. Prior to the change the door chimes worked, the radio would remain on when the van was tuned off and turn off when the door was opened. The low fuel light would chime, if the key was left in the ignition or the lights were on we would get a chime. Recently I discovered this adapter from Scotche or something like that. I installed it however I am in the same boat. Toeliminate the new adapter as being bad I put the stock radio back in. Now even with the stock radio in place, the chimes do not work. All of the fuses look good and even did a computer re-learn on the van - still nothing. Has this ever happened to anyone? Does anyone know what I should do next? Please help.

But the stock radio no longer works either - that's why I think there is something wrong in the van - no?
No harness were cut, all adapters were spliced in. I hope you can figure this one out.
