I'm installing a trailer wiring harness, and I noticed a connector not plugged into anything (in the picture, the one with the purple wire going into it). I'm wondering, why is it not connected and what's it for? It's a 6 pin connector with only 4 pins populated, same as what's used for the taillights (although a different pin layout).

Oh and while I'm on the subject of mystery wires, here's another one - a cable (2 wires inside) going from the taillight connector, to a heatshrinked loop in the rear door. Maybe an antenna? It looks aftermarket, but I don't have any fancy radio or anything.

Thanks!
For the other wire, I accidentally posted the same picture twice, I meant to post this one, of the wire loop. It just ends in a loop, and it's not connected to anything else.
