So I know in Chevy express vans when they are at idle the ac will blow a little warmer than desired, this is a common issue from what I hear. My 2000 Tahoe had the same issue. Also, when it’s really hot outside, like 100+ when I’m at the boat launch in Arizona, and we are getting the boat prepped/put away, the engine will start to overheat(this was also a problem with my old Tahoe). I’ve found that when I rev the engine up to just around 1000 rpm’s both issues go away. I figure this is because the engine isn’t turning the fan fast enough to pull enough air through to cool off the radiator/ac condenser. I don’t think there is anything actually wrong or broken on the vehicle. So my question is, is there a switch I can put in to make the engine idle higher while I’m not in it to keep my foot on the pedal while parked so it doesn’t overheat? Or are electric fans easy enough to install that could get the job done? What are peoples thoughts?

Please provide full information. Which engine is this?
how many degrees?
Your situation falls within normal use. If the engine overheats, there's definitely something wrong and you should take it in for warranty service.
I would not install electric fans.
