Sweet van. I’ve got the ‘02 version of that Explorer SE conversion and it is very nice.

I suspect it is a good $60k+. Brand new conversion vans are very expensive.

Just curious, how did you get insurance coverage for your van. I just purchased a 2013 GMC Savana explorer and am have a darned time get full coverage.

I had no issues, but you have to explain to the insurance company that they can’t just use the vehicle VIN to determine its value because the VIN is for an unfinished cargo van and DOES NOT reflect the aftermarket conversion upgrades. You will need to send them pictures of the vehicle, inside and out, and possibly screen shots of equivalent conversion vans for sale, so they can see for themselves what the street value of these conversion vans are. You MUST have this resolved with the insurance underwriter out of the gate, because once they underwrite a policy based on just the VIN, you will be screwed if you ever have a wreck….they won’t recognize any of the aftermarket upgrades/value to your van.

Thanks for the advice. I must be just having bad luck. I have tried everyone from USAA, travelers, state farm, good Sam, Liberty mutual. I'm just going to try a local place next that might come and look at the vehicle.
