Form fitted front to back and around the vertical post. Scribed absolutely tight. Have Dutch pieces that fill behind braces as well, no gaps. Made from 3/4" birch plywood with maple and oak fronts. Seamless front to back on drivers side from 10' plywood. Both sides are aproximately 12" deep at the widest part of body. Leaves 50'' between for excellent cargo room. Take advantage of usable space. You need backs on them or the outside walls of your van will get beat to crap, unless you are just hauling pillows.

 

Sure if you throw stuff in like an ape. I used them to hold all my toolbags, long materials, screwballs etc. No dings. One could always line the walls. Nice to be able to haul work stuff, walk thru van and have the dirt bike...
