Default AC concern

Hello all,

I have come to you for assistance with my 2005 Express 2500.

The AC switch for a while would not work on speed 1, 2, or 3. However, it would work on 4, interestly though if there if there was stress being put on the engine, such as going up hill the ac would slowly weaken until I let go of the gas. But now now of the speed mode doesnt work. However if I leave the AC on and I'm at a decent speed then I can feel it.

What could be the problem?

Thanks
Shah

The ballast for the blower fan motor usually goes bad. This is rather common.

Don't know where they are located on your van. On my Silverado it is under the dash on the passenger side. Find the old one to see which one it is or use the compatability chart in the Ebay ads to figure out which one you need.

I corrected the issue, it was the following item.

ACDELCO OE SERVICE 15-80560 A/C Blower Motor Switch/Resistor | eBay

This item was for a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 express van. It was a simple 5 minute fix for many more hours of cold air .

Hello there, Blower motor was the second thing I changed after the fuses. Since that wasn't it then I change the relay that wasn't it. Then I start looking deeper and realized the AC. Does not even turn the engine idle down like it does on my other vans. It does have a charge. . thank you for the ideals.
