you want to disable the airbags and not have the warning lamp on? Is this correct?

Yes we just want to put in a resistor or simulator if I could find one for this van which I have not

I am changing out the driver seat and need to trick the system into believing that airbag is still there

I do, but can't contribute to such a process. Its potentially dangerous and possibly illegal. Fix it right

It is no more dangerous than everybody that is driving a 2015 with no airbag in the seat .....

None of these vans had airbags in the seat until recently, I am disconnecting one airbag on one seat not the entire system

There is no way to fix it right, it can’t be done

Anybody that is putting any kind of aftermarket seat in any kind of vehicle now has to deal with this, there is no way to fix it

It doesn't really matter what your reasons are. The information would be available here for misuse and possibly lead to loss of life that would otherwise have been prevented.

what he said.

the legality issue for me is: if its sold to a unsuspecting consumer who believes the system is working when it isn't. After its doctored. not even a safety inspection will detect what has been done.

the problem for you is because the seat airbag is down so is the entire system.

Default Airbag

I have a 2017 Express Van, I'm just going to pull the seat rebuild it, new foam and leather for comfort. So the airbag will remain intact in the seat back. I just don't like the short arm rest... Do they make longer ones ???
