I've been test driving different Chevy Express cargo vans and am curious why some have a kick between gears and some don't.
One used 2010, 1500 w/ 14K and one new 2011, 2500 w/ no accumulated mileage both kick between gears.
One used 2006, 2500 w/ 63K and a used 2003, 3500 w/ 51K both didn't kick between gears.
You think this may be related to the plant they come from or something like tricks with grade of oil in the transmission?
Or has the quality of the more recent year transmissions declined?

the ones that kick probably have the 4L80 transmissions and it is a heavy duty trans.
the 4L60s arent so they probably dont twist in the motor mounts like the 80s.

It indicates that the 2003, 3500 transmission is a 4L80E.
