Default Captain Chairs

HELP. I recently had my captain chairs recovered in my 2004 Chevy Express and the upholstry shop cannot get the armrest reinstalled. They damaged one armrest getting them removed and I repaired it and after hours of trying I finally got it installed. On the drivers side I have hit a brick wall. I have looked at numerous videos, followed evey instruction suggestions, etc. but still no success in getting it in installed. The pin on the armrest is sort of L shaped, not the clip on type. That's the best I can describe it but it is a Rocky Ridge Conversion. They cannot offer any advice unless I take it to them which is hundreds of miles away. Futher infomation is after watching videos showing seat has to be in upright position I have tried that to no avail. I have tried it in every position posible. There seems to be no blockedge in hole on the seat. Must I remove new upholstry or is there some secret I have not found yet. Please help before I burn this sucker to the ground. Thanks.
