Chassis
Hello All
I have a chance to buy a 2006 Chevy 3500 Express van with a 6.0 engine and auto trans(over 1000k) that has been setting for about 5/6 years
outside.
I just want the rolling chassis if and I mean a big if ,if I can install a carbureted 1975 350 engine and turbo 400 trans without a lot of issues
modifying the frame.
1 ton frames are hard to come by here in the Northeast(buku bucks).

Does the 2006 transmission have a speedometer cable or is it wired? You may have a problem with that. Also, your driveshaft may be too short by about 2 inches. Did you mean 100,000 miles or 1 million? I would attempt a compression test on the 2006 motor. Sounds like a nightmare.

Irish- You and I are in the same area here in D.C suburbs, one of three areas in the country, Federally mandated, that have to get emissions checked to get tags. The other two are NYC, and LA I don't know for sure, but California may be tough on emissions state wide.
