Default Chevy van arm rest adjustment

We have recently purchased a chevy van gladiator 1985 for restauration. The upholstery is in perfect condition. The armrests however appear to be not adjustable which is incovenient as the chair itself is able to incline. Is this original or am I overlooking something?

Appreciate any advise,

Rgds Leo, Netherlands

I have seen some pics where the arm rest have the power seat controls on the side of the armrest......? (why who knows...)....Perhaps those type dont adjust.

Most conversion vans have aftermarket seats....front and back.

Hey welcome to this forum....
what type of seat do you have maybe throw
up a picture for us.. I have arm rests on my seats
but my seats are of the stock variety ..... not
conversion van style... but a picture would
help.
