Default Correct oil pressure for 1985 g20 with 305

Hi, I just bought a 1985 g20 with 305 and 34,000 miles on it. I changed the oil, and put in o Reilly's 10w 30 and Lucas oil stabilizer, after that the oil pressure went to about 40 at idle and 50-53 at highway speeds. Is this ok? What are y'alls thoughts on Lucas oil stabilizer in a low mileage vehicle?
Thank you

Wow, an '85 with only 34K? Nice find! Pressure sounds great. Welcome to the forum.

with oil pressure that good i wouldnt worry about any oil stabilizer. a 85 millage could be rolled over as they only read 99,999 if memory serves me right. and most times even with a restore people often forget to replace the brake pad rubber. but its not unheard of to have a truck with that low millage my 91 crew cab (square body) only had 30,000 (but thats with the trucks). its kind of hard to roll that one over as the odometer reads 999,999. so it would have to have over 1 million miles

Thank you, I called the owner before the guy I bought it from and he is the one who said that it only has 34, 000. I too thought it had rolled over but the interior is pristine and brake and gas pedal are not worn at all. Thank you, I don't think I will add the oil stabilizer anymore, just a habit from almost every vehicle I've had has been old.
