Easy and useful mod. Why didn't Chevy think of this?

It seems like Chevy designed the plastic front grill with the exact angle at which nuts, bolts or tools will eventually slide off but a human looks at it and still wants to set stuff there. LOL.

I took some plastic angle and turned the gussets into small parts trays. Now I can put nuts, bolts, reservoir caps, phone and tools right there while I'm working and even keep them somewhat organized.l

I've been wanting to do this since I got the van and finally got around to it. Seriously GM, how much would it have cost to mold the parts like this at the factory?

I sliced up a larger piece of plastic that had a nice angle on it and used that material. Any sort of angle material would work. I just held it with some silicone construction adhesive which I use regularly and know is very strong. You could also just use some small screws through the plastic too. There's nothing behind there to hit.

I left enough space between my pieces and the gussets so that any water or fluid can drain off and not puddle. I lined them up with each other and left them higher than the end of the gussets so I could rest something long there if need be.

I was thinking the same thing about the adaptive cruise control cutoff when you turn. Its super annoying how it resets every time you turn the wheel. I've been meaning to look into those third-party modules that can keep the ACR engaged even when you turn.

That's good thinking.
it's just flat enough that it looks like you could put your tools on it.
Irritated me greatly yesterday.
