I am installing new head gaskets and intake gaskets, saw some posts about people putting in electric fans and was wondering where to get it from and what all is involved in doing it, like temp sensors and such. Any ideas?

I used a Flex-a-lite 292 which I bought on Amazon. This kit is not made for the 96-02 Express so I had to customize the installation a little bit. I bought extra upper and lower fan shrouds and cut them to fit around the fan assy. (so I could keep the original parts) The kit included relay assy and temp sensor and was pretty easy to hook up.

 

...maybe its just me, but of all the things I could spend money on my van....the cooling fan is at the very bottom of the list. The factory clutch fan works just fine, and needs no upgrading unless you are doing changes to the motor and want more cooling or something....

 

it is a HP thing typically. Personally I feel a good tune would be better off in the long run for less money.
