I have an interesting problem I have not encountered before. This is in my work van, a 2017 Express 1500. About as base model as it gets. There are three ***** available to select different climate settings.
The left **** has four positions: low, kinda low, kinda high, high. The "kinda low" setting doesn't work. Nothing blows out of the vents when selected. This is in all modes: AC, max AC, face/floor, floor, defrost/floor, and defrost. The other three work fine.

I am curious to what may be causing the problem. I'm not allowed to do any work to the vehicle since it is a company vehicle, but if it's something trivial and easily accessible to repair, I can get it done and no one has to know.

 

it's usually a burned out resistor. I wouldn't call it a trivial repair. It can also be a sign that the motor is on its way out, and it could take more resistors along with it.

 

A 2017 should still be under warranty.
